André-Pierre Arnal* 1939
André-Pierre Arnal was a French painter, born in Nimes. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Montpellier, but did not graduate it. His first solo exhibition was held in Montpellier in 1962. The artist was influenced by Matisse, American abstract art and especially Paul Klee. He is the author of theater curtains in the theatres of Angouleme (1994) and Montpellier (2004). The works of André-Pierre Arnal are stored in the Centre Pompidou, the Paris Museum of Modern Art, the museums of Montpellier, Nice, Toulouse, Montreal, Quebec, Buffalo.
