At the Da! Moscow contemporary art fair, which was held May 16–19 at the Gostiny Dvor in Moscow, the Palisander gallery showed collectible design and art, combined at the gallery’s stand into a well-thought-out architectural composition.
The exposition of the Palisander Gallery united the works of several design classics: original works by Ettore Sottsass, a key figure in 20th-century Italian design, the ideologist of the avant-garde group Memphis; rare objects of the postmodernist Ron Arad; French modernism by Jean Prouve – a must have collection. Among the authors of design objects is Olga Treivas, a Moscow architect known for her projects for the Garage Museum.
The gallery’s stand also featured works by Igor Chelkovski, a prominent representative of unofficial Soviet art, whose solo exhibition has recently been successfully staged at the Palisander gallery. The exposition included both the author’s early works and contemporary objects of his design.
